A CASA Story

ree

What does it take to change a child’s life?

Sometimes, it just takes one person—one caring, committed adult who shows up and speaks up for a child who has been abused or neglected.

That person is a CASA volunteer.

Today, I invite you to watch the powerful short video of Shelby, one of our CASA volunteers and the little girl, Candice she stood beside through one of the most difficult journeys a child can face. After years of instability, uncertainty, and countless changes, this brave little girl finally found her forever home—with a CASA volunteer by her side the entire way.

This is what CASA is all about: giving children a voice and a champion in the court system - someone who will make sure their needs are not overlooked and that they don’t fall through the cracks. But making that happen takes resources. It takes help from supporters like YOU!

It costs over $1,000 to recruit, train, and support just one new CASA volunteer. From background checks and fingerprinting, to training materials, supervision, and database support - it’s a serious investment in a foster child’s future. Your donation helps ensure we’re able to prepare every volunteer to serve with excellence.

Every chi

ld deserves a safe, loving, permanent home. But too many children in our community are still waiting.

Become a CASA volunteer. With just a few hours a month, you can make a life-changing impact. Training classes are still available in July, September and November of 2025.

And if you’re not ready to volunteer just yet, your donation can help recruit, train, and support more volunteers like Shelby who you saw in the video - ensuring that every child has a voice.

Thank you for caring.

Thank you for believing that every child matters.

Together, we can make sure no child walks this path alone.

With gratitude,

Allison Traxler
