2026 Board Commitees Preferences

Please select either the Finance or Nominating Committee or both if you don't have a preference– must pick ONE from this list.

Finance Committee  - Chaired by Tamara Mayo

The Finance Committee shall be composed of the Treasurer and at least two additional members of the Board of Directors appointed annually by the Treasurer. The Treasurer shall serve as Chairperson of the Finance Committee. The Finance Committee shall prepare the annual budget for presentation to the Board of Directors and file an audit report annually with the Board of Directors. The Finance Committee shall oversee the risk management function of the organization. This committee shall also be responsible for planning and implementing a long-range fund development plan for the organization.

Nominating  - Chaired by Chavanne Debetaz

The Chairperson of the Committee shall be the immediate past Chairperson of the Board of Directors. The Chairperson shall appoint up to four (4) persons to the committee. The majority of the Nominating Committee shall be from the current Board. The Chairperson shall report those appointments at the January Board meeting. The Nominating Committee shall make a report to the Board at the July Board meeting.  The final report of the Committee shall be mailed to all Board Members not less than twenty (20) days prior to the annual meeting in September.

Engagement and Sponsorship Committee-

Coordinates not only sponsorships but also raises awareness by opening doors for CASA staff to speak at local offices, churches, clubs or organizations. Connect CASA to events, festivals, fairs and more. Need 5 people.

Fiesta and Auction Steering Committee – Chaired by Elizabeth Griffin

Coordinates auction item solicitation by board members including setup, monitoring and close out of the auction. The fiesta committee oversees the different components of the event and helps with decorations, invitations, catering and beverage donations as well as oversees set up and clean up. Need 12 people.

Policy/Procedure & Strategic Planning Committee- chaired by Amanda Celestine

A strategic planning committee must consider where the organization is currently; what they want to see happen over the next three to five years; and formulate a plan for how to achieve their goals. Policy and procedure work would be conducted in looking at internal policies and implementing forward thinking changes. Need 5 people.
