The numbers speak for themselves.

CASA is in dire need of more male and African-American volunteers.

Each year, startling numbers of children enter foster care through no fault of their own.  They are innocent victims of abuse, neglect or abandonment. Many children become victimized a second time, lost in an overburdened child welfare system that cannot pay close attention to each child whose life is in its hands.

Moreover, these children are often away from the people most like them – their own biological families. CASA makes every attempt to recruit volunteers who understand these children’s culture and identity, those volunteers who can best advocate for them. But we need your help to find more African-American and male volunteers to serve this population of children.

Find out how you can help us solve our African-American and male volunteer shortage.
